Here’s where it gets a little tricky. The Keeper’s Curse goes back in time, laying the groundwork for the curse, the lore, and the tangled history that shapes everything in Midnight Possession. But because of that, it actually gives away one of the major plot twists revealed in Midnight Possession. So, if you read the prequel first, that big “aha!” moment won’t hit quite as hard.

That’s why I personally recommend reading Midnight Possession first. Think of it as watching a movie in release order versus chronological order—the experience is just different. Starting with Midnight Possession gives you the suspense, the mystery, and the twists exactly as I meant for them to land. Then, when you dive into The Keeper’s Curse, you’ll get this really rich, haunting backstory that makes all those earlier moments even deeper and more chilling.

So yes, the prequel is coming out second, and yes, it was kind of an unplanned surprise for me too, but sometimes that’s the magic of writing. Stories grow in directions you didn’t expect, and you just have to follow where they lead.
